Julie has been licensed to practice law since 2001, when she graduated from The John Marshall Law School with honors and served on the Executive Board of The Journal of Computer and Information Law. She also holds a Master of Science in Political Science with a specialization in Public Service and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Illinois State University.
Julie brings extensive experience in legal writing and advocacy. Since 2017, she has served as an Adjunct Professor of Legal Analysis, Research & Communication at DePaul University College of Law, teaching first-year law students predictive and persuasive writing, legal research, and oral advocacy as part of the school’s required multi-semester LARC curriculum. She previously served as a Writing Advisor in The John Marshall Law School’s Writing Resource Center, assisting students with advanced issues of legal writing, citation, and persuasion.
Earlier in her career, Julie practiced in a variety of areas, including insurance defense, medical malpractice, personal injury, real estate, and estate planning, and has experience in trials and arbitrations.
